Craving: Cake Batter Doughnut…

My boys played football this morning.

Afterwards they begged me to take them to Krispy Kreme.

I didn’t feel like lecturing them about how sugar harms our body.

Plus, I am easily manipulated.

So, I took them to Krispy Kreme.

One of them got a Cake Batter Doughnut:

I did not get a doughnut.

I did check the sugar content though.

26 Grams of Sugar in one of these babies.

I used to be able to eat a dozen of these.

The FDA recommends 23 grams of sugar per day.

I recommend zero refined sugar.

How did I beat the craving?

I was not angry with myself. I sat in gratitude and compassion. Grateful that I could spend time with my boys. Grateful that we were together. Grateful that I didn’t have to gorge myself.
